Boko Haram regional mastermind arrested in Niger

The Nigerien military has reportedly arrested the mastermind of different attacks by Boko Haram in Niger’s Diffa region which is near the Nigerian border.

According to Niger's Anfani private radio station, the sect member identified as Kaka Bounou, was a trader based in Diffa and goes by the alias, Captain, within the sect group. He'd been arrested countless times in the past and released. Boko Haram carried out their first attack on Niger last week.
